Torrey Pines Bank is dedicated to serving the needs of San Diego entrepreneurs and top executives at small and medium size business, as well as non profit organizations, with flexible financial solutions and highly personal service. The bank has pioneered an innovative way to give back to the community - for every hit that Padres first baseman Adrian Gonzalez scores, Torrey Pines Bank donates funds to a charity. A new charity is chosen every month to benefit.
This direct mail package was sent to hundreds of non profits with offices in San Diego to encourage participation in Base Hit Bonus as well as create awareness of the Torrey Pines banking program designed to meet the specific needs of non profit banking customers. The design makes innovative use of a clear plastic envelope, with the promo piece showing prominently through and inviting the recipient to open the piece right away.
Community involvement is an important part of Torrey Pines Bank's mission. To coincide with the opening of their Carlsbad office, the bank held a raffle of signed sport memorabilia, with proceeds going to Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad. The child sports theme was obviously appropriate, with a play on the word "ticket" to score the point.
Leading up to the launch of the new ABA website, we developed a new campaign that communicated their position as a "super community bank". The "Take Flight" campaign speaks to the empowering feeling that ABA customers feel when working directly with a relationship banker to accomplish their financial goals.
LES is one of the nation's largest companies specializing in removal, treatment and disposal of non-hazardous liquid waste. Customers include restaurant chains, food processing companies, industrial facilities and more. LES wanted a complete, flexible literature package that could be tailored to all sizes and types of clients. We created a folder, corporate brochure, and several smaller brochures targeting specific market segments. In addition, we created a series of imprintable slip sheets, blank save for LES corporate elements, enabling the creation of custom documents in Microsoft Word on the fly and printing them on an office laser printer to maintain a professional look. Throughout, we incorporated a theme of clean water, clean environment, with the floating leaf as a central graphic element.
SKID MARKS is the hilarious feature film about two rival ambulance companies fighting to keep their jobs as budget cuts force their small town to downsize to just one ambulance unit. We created this fun postcard with a "buy one get one free" offer to promote the movie months before it launched. Over 50,000 cards have been handed out in San Diego, where the movie was produced and home to its premiere.
Fiesta de las Estrellas is the annual fund raising gala for UCSD Student Affairs Development, which focuses on raising scholarship funds for students. Specifically, the event supports Latino students and recognizes Latino alumni. For the event in 2006, we created a new Fiesta logo and emphasized education with the Hispanic student at the chalkboard. We used a unique paper with a metallic content to create a shimmery, vibrant look, highlighting the creation of a brighter future for students. The project included a save the date, invitation, corporate sponsor solicitation, and event program.
Education Systems needed a flagship brochure to give an overview of EMAS Pro to attendees at trade shows. EMAS Pro is the education contact management software system that makes it remarkably easy for colleges and universities to prospect for and track potential new students. This is the first piece with a new look and feel we developed to help define their brand going forward.
The bank celebrated the grand opening of its seventh branch in September with an "Endless Summer" theme (which is pretty much a given in San Diego). We went tropical with design, as did the bank staff with attire, decor and music at the event.
The bank asked us to create a custom mailer and statement stuffer for their home equity promotion. We responded with the "Home Sweet Home Equity" package, featuring a young woman envisioning her dreams realized with funding from her home's equity.
